Bethesda Magazine recognized New4You for 2025 as a Best of Best of Bethesda finalist as it did in 2023 and 2024. Under changed competition rules, for the first time, New4You received awards in two categories: consignment and retail and vintage and antique shops. When the store opened in 2021, the magazine's editors named the shop as a "Best New Place to Shop." As stated in the January 2022 issue, page 107, "Downtown Bethesda gained a shop that is big on space--and also big on doing good--you never know what you might find, but you do know you're helping those in need when you make a purchase."
New4You presented its 2024 final donation of $80,000 to two local charities. Shepherd's Table and Voices for Children Montgomery. Each received $40,000. In June 2024, we also gave each charity, $40,000. The total 2024 charitable donation therefore equals $160,000.
That total is the largest bequest New4You has made since the shop opened in 2021.
As representatives from the charities and shop volunteers (pictured above) gathered for the event, all agreed that our customers, who supply our inventory (at no charge) and/or buy items, are the basis for the store's success.
Customers found this glass table at the shop and sent us this photo with their artistic decorations under the glass top. Keeping the shop stocked with small furniture is challenging, because such items are popular. Do you have small pieces, such as tables, dressers, bookcases, lamps,and chairs that you no longer need? When you have an item in good condition that you want to donate, please call the shop first to make sure we have room to display it: 301-656-2002
Payments may be made by credit or debit cards -- except American Express --and cash. We will also accept Google Pay and Apple Pay.
No checks and no $100 bills accepted.
Hours of operation are:
Wednesday to Saturday: 11-4
Sunday: 12-4
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays
Closed: December 25, 2024;

If the weather looks bad, call the store, 301-656-2002, to check whether the store is open or closed. The shop's status will be posted before opening hours.
We are located near two municipal parking lots which are free on Sundays.
One, at 4925 Del Ray Avenue, also has an entrance on Auburn.
The other lot has entrances on 4935 Cordell and St. Elmo.
If you are just dropping off donations, please park or double park in front of the store, open the door or call the store, and a volunteer will help you unload. Do not pull into the alley by the store; it's private property and you could be towed even if there for a few minutes.
The free Bethesda Circulator and the #34 Ride-On bus travel to and from the Bethesda Metro station. Both stop at the corner of Old Georgetown Road and Cordell Avenue.
The boutique is a ten-minute walk from the Bethesda Metrorail Station. Walk north on Old Georgetown Road to Cordell, turn right on Cordell to 4909.
